Lens edging has changed radically over the last few years. The number of high-base wrap frames continues to be on the rise, with grooving on high-curved lenses becoming more common as well. Frames with increasingly small “B” dimensions are also in fashion and there is a real challenge in processing those lenses. Sophisticated coatings such as super hydrophobic and anti-reflective have become the norm in the past few years. Rimless drill mounts with twin holes, rectangular holes, and notches continue to be popular. To meet all these demands MEI EZ Fit are used to keep up with evolving lens technology and frame styles.
Our professional employees and mechanics are specially trained to perform Edging and Fitting.
We also have stock lenses available in our lab, so some customers can have their glasses done straight after the eye examination.
Having edging and fitting equipment allow our customers who want to reuse their frames, to wear their current glasses, while the new lenses are being made for them.
After edging and fitting is done, all the glasses go through the detailed Quality check to avoid any defects.
